Obituary

Angela Jaye was born on September 25, 1967 in Miller County, Colquitt, Georgia to Johnny C. Jaye, Sr. and Georgia Mae Bush Jaye.

Angela graduated from Miller County High School, Colquitt, GA. She was a faithful Christian. Angela was a devoted pre-school teacher for over 20 years. Her love of education led her to complete her bachelor's degree in psychology and three master’s degrees in education from American College of Education in Indianapolis, IN. Angela was also a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, whose warmth and kindness touched everyone she encountered.

Angela’s presence was a beacon of love and support to her family and friends. She lived a life filled with compassion and grace, often putting others before herself. Her legacy of love will continue to inspire all of those who knew her. . She was an immense joy to all her coworkers and friends that have turned into family over the years.

She was the cherished daughter of Johnny C. Jaye, Sr. and Georgia Mae Jaye and grew up with the support of her siblings, Melvin Curtis Jaye, Johnny C. Jaye Jr., Jesse Dixon, and Toyella Gibson.

Angela departed this loving life on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. She is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny C. Jaye, Sr. and Georgia Mae Jaye.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her husband Rowland Oriaghi Asabor; two sons, Matthew and Maxwell Asabor; her stepdaughter and son-in-law Ese and Emmanuel Ojo. Angela was also a devoted grandmother to three grandchildren; she leaves great memories to a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Angela’s spirit and generous heart will be profoundly missed but fondly remembered by all whom she cared for. May her beautiful soul rest in eternal peace.
