Cheryl Lynn Jackson was born on May 8, 1953 to the late James B. Jackson and Annie Elizabeth Douglas Jackson in Miller County, Colquitt, Georgia. She was one of 14 children. At an early age, Cheryl dedicated her life to Christ and joined Tabernacle Freewill Baptist Church. After graduating high school, she continued her education at Albany Technical College where she majored in Business Administration.
After leaving Albany Technical College, Cheryl moved to Newark, NJ, where she worked in the banking industry for years. In 1983, she moved to California where she continued working in the banking industry. In 1996, she moved back to Georgia where she began working in customer service until her retirement from Ikon (Ricoh Solutions).
Cheryl had a memory out of this world. She would reminisce about any and everything. Cheryl had a very vivid memory. She could remember the exact date, time, place, and detail of any occasion. Cheryl also had a love for music. She loved all genres of music. Cheryl had a very deep love for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved how her grandchildren called her grandmother. They could do no wrong in her eyes.
On Thursday, June 25, 2020, the Lord dispatched an angel to pick from his garden a rose, this rose was Cheryl Lynn Jackson. She is preceded in death by her parents, James B. Jackson and Annie Elizabeth Douglas Jackson and six siblings.
Cheryl leaves to cherish her memories, one son, Charles T. (Sheerita) Jackson, Hampton, VA; four grandchildren, Tamia, Talia, Takeemiah, and Charles, Jr.; two great grandchildren Kylie and Aliyaah; six sisters, Rosa Bellamy, Linden, NJ; Carrie L. Clark, Lawrenceville, GA; Ellarene Moore, Iselin, NJ; Helen J. (Hozie) Pennington, Fort Belvoir, VA; Evelyn Brown, Winder, GA; Catherine (James) Dunn, Roselle, NJ; one brother Alvin Jackson, Lawrenceville, GA; one sister-in-law Margaret A. Jackson, Colquitt, GA; one aunt, Evelyn J. Douglas, Piscataway, NJ; and a host of nieces, nephews, several great nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.
