A Time to Be Born:
Mr. Gene Kimble affectionately known as “Rabbit” was born on December 10, 1936 in Miller County, Georgia. He was raised by loving parents, stepparents, and a grandmother, all of which preceded him in death: Eddie Mae and Collie Callaway; Willie Mae and Frank Kimble, and Nancy Smith.
A Time for Commitment:
Gene was educated in the Miller County Public School System. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Freewill Baptist Church where he served until his failing health. He enjoyed laboring as a farmer until retirement.
He was happily married to Lillie Grace Kelly and combined they had four children, seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
A Time to Mourn:
Mr. Gene Kimble received his Angel wings on Saturday, August 29, 2020. He is preceded in death by his lovely wife, Lillie Grace Kimble; one sister, Lillie Brown and three brothers; Mike Callaway, Willie Callaway, and Collie Callaway, Jr.
A Time to Rejoice:
He leaves his most cherished memories to his children: Randolph (Michele) Nelson, Jr., Nashville, TN; Smokey Perkins, Colquitt, GA; Amanda Perkins, Dothan, AL; Keith Hall, Blakely, GA; and Linda Hampton, Bainbridge, GA; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren; sisters, Ella (Johnny) Hodge, Colquitt, GA; Callie Smith, Bainbridge, GA and one brother, Frank (Joann) Kimble, Jr., Colquitt, GA; God Child, Sharon Hall, Colquitt, GA and a host of relatives, nieces, nephews and friends.
